AIFV (Ai Fashion Vision) is a creative studio based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. This notice explains what personal information we collect through aifashionvision.com, why we collect it, who can see it, and the rights you have over it.
We keep this short and specific on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in plain language.
Who is responsible for your information
Alesya Kornetskaya, Founder of AIFV, is the person responsible for the protection of personal information at AIFV.
You can reach her directly at hello@aifashionvision.com.
Any question about this notice, any request to see or correct your information, and any complaint comes to that address and is answered by her personally.
What we collect, and why
When you fill in a form on this site, you give us:
- your name
- your email address
- your company or brand name
- which service you are interested in
- your timeline
- your approximate budget
- a description of your project
We use this only to answer you, to understand whether we are a good fit for your project, and to prepare a proposal if we are. We do not use it for anything else. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We do not add you to a marketing list because you sent us an enquiry.
Giving us this information is voluntary. The name, email and project description are what we need in order to reply at all. The company, timeline and budget fields help us answer usefully, and you can leave them blank — we will still read your message and respond.
When you simply browse the site, our hosting provider records technical information automatically: your IP address, the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and the time of your visit. This is standard server logging and we use it only to keep the site working and secure.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also receive aggregate statistics about how the site is used — which pages people read, how they arrived, roughly where in the world they are. This is set to off until you choose to accept it. See "Cookies and tracking" below.
What we never collect
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identification numbers, health information, or any other sensitive category of personal information. Nothing on this site is designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets two kinds of cookies.
Necessary cookies make the site function — they remember your cookie choice and keep forms working. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site breaks.
Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics and tell us how the site is used in aggregate. These are off by default. You will see a banner on your first visit asking whether you accept them. If you say no, or ignore it, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. If you say yes and change your mind later, you can withdraw at any time — the link in the site footer reopens the choice, and clearing your browser cookies also resets it.
Saying no to analytics cookies does not limit anything on this site. Every page works identically either way.
Who else can see your information
We keep the list of outside parties deliberately short. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job, and none of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We do not disclose your personal information to anyone else, except where the law requires it of us.
On information leaving Québec: the providers above operate in the United States, which means your information is stored and processed outside Québec. Before using each one we considered the sensitivity of what it handles, the purpose, the protections it offers by contract, and the legal framework where it operates. We are satisfied each provides protection equivalent to what Québec law requires. All four are established providers under written terms that commit them to confidentiality and to using the information only to provide their service to us. If you would rather not have your information handled this way, write to us and we will arrange to correspond with you by email or telephone directly.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects: two years from your last contact with us, then deleted. We keep them this long because brands often come back to a project a season or two later, and it is better for you if we still have the context.
Enquiries that become projects: for the length of our work together, and then seven years after the final invoice, which is what Canadian tax and accounting rules require of us.
Server logs: retained by our host for a short period and then overwritten automatically.
Analytics data: fourteen months, then deleted automatically by Google.
When a retention period ends, the information is destroyed or anonymised. If you ask us to delete something sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
How we protect it
Access to form submissions is limited to the people at AIFV who need to answer you. Accounts that hold your information are protected with two-factor authentication. Our providers encrypt data in transit and at rest. We do not keep copies of enquiries on personal devices, and we do not forward them outside the studio.
If a breach ever created a risk of serious harm to you, we would notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under Québec law you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Correct anything that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous
- Withdraw your consent at any time, including to analytics cookies
- Ask us to delete your information, or to stop circulating it
- Request de-indexing — ask us to remove a link to information about you where the law allows
- Receive your information in a portable form, in a structured, commonly used technological format
- Complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are not satisfied with how we respond
To use any of these rights, email hello@aifashionvision.com. We will respond within 30 days, which is the maximum the law allows us. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we are not handing your information to someone else.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca or 1 888 528-7741.
Automated decisions
We do not use automated systems to make decisions about you. Every enquiry that arrives is read by a person — in practice, by Alesya. Our work involves artificial intelligence, but we apply it to design and imagery for our clients' brands, never to profiling the people who contact us.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the text.
